The pristine natural surroundings of Oranjemund make this town truly special and unique. While crossing the bridge between Alexander Bay and Oranjemund, we were treated to a spectacular view: a large group of oryx along the riverbank. The scene was mesmerizing, with the rugged landscape and the shimmering water providing a dramatic backdrop. Unlike the oryx you might see around town, these were wild and not accustomed to the presence of people shopping or going about their daily routines. Observing these majestic animals in their natural habitat, free and unperturbed, was a reminder of the untouched beauty and wildlife that define this region. It was a captivating experience that highlighted the exceptional nature of Oranjemund’s environment.
